About the Play
Naveen Chandra Gupta of San Francisco has died, leaving behind an unusual request in his will: that he be cremated on the shore with the "proper rites and ceremonies", exactly as he cremated his father in India 30 years ago. As his friends struggle to honor his last wish, they learn a little about him, a little about themselves, and a lot about what it means for an Indian to die in America. Sometimes sad and sometimes hilarious, this quirky comedy is Sujit Saraf's 9th play and these Silicon Valley shows are its world premiere.Language: Hindi (with English supertitles) Run-time: 120 minutes Children under 10 will not be admitted | Flash photography not allowed.
