In this sequel to Bombay Talkies, our 2023 musical, Raghu the clapper boy continues his waltz through the Hindi film industry of the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s, assisting in shoots and song sequences, serving as chauffeur, gateman, teaboy and confidante, and secretly shaping the careers of Lata, Kishore, Rajesh, Amitabh, Aamir, Shah Rukh and others. Punctuated by well-known film songs and lesser-known tidbits, Bombay Talkies 2 is a romp through the Hindi film industry, capturing its glitz, glamour and insouciance, its soul-stirring music, and its complete detachment from the world that sustains it. The play will be performed with live music and dance.
