In this satire set in San Jose, three Bay Area women decide to retire on their own terms after having spent the first three acts of their lives exactly as their families demanded of them. In fashioning their 'Act Four' outside the world of husbands, children and grandchildren, they give new meaning to the Hindu concept of Sanyas.

Auditions for Actors

August 29, starting at 1 pm (we will send you an exact time slot 2 days before the audition).

Roles Available

Females: 5 roles, ages 45-65

Females: 2 roles, ages 25-40

Males: 4 roles, ages 45-60

Females: 2 roles, ages 7-18

Non-South-Asian actors: 1 role, age 25-50

2. Two days before the audition, you will receive a time slot between 1 pm and 3 pm for August 29.

3. Come prepared with a 1-minute monologue (in English).

4. Your performance must demonstrate vocal clarity, precise articulation, and command of the stage.

5. If you are shortlisted, you will be called back for a second round on the same day.

6. Both rounds will end by 5 pm.

Rehearsal Schedule

Dates: Sep 1 - Nov 26, 2026

Location: Naatak House, 3311 Keller Street, Santa Clara

Schedule: On Saturday and Sunday mornings, all actors are required. For weekday rehearsals (1 or 2, Tue/Wed/Thu) actors will be called on a flexible, as-needed basis. Once run-throughs start, weekday rehearsals are mandatory.

Tech Rehearsals: Nov 9-12, 2026.
