Where There’s A Will

Where There's a Will is one of Sahitya Academy award winning playwright Mahesh Dattani's wackiest comedies, a play where traditional family values meet the seven deadly sins. What happens when life throws you a googly that beats you all ends up? Your son is a nincompoop. Your marital life is `insipid'. Your daughter-in-law is a scheming little witch. WILL POWER alone will help you triumph over these hurdles that God threw between you and nirvana. Or will it? Dattani skillfully weaves his rib-tickling narrative around the machinations of a dysfunctional Indian family in this play that he calls the `exorcism of the patriarchal code.'
